How You Can Help

we need your help

Our Mission Statement

The mission of Glamping With A Cause is to provide short term respite and enriching experiences to those who are brain injured and/or physically disabled, along with their integral caregivers and family members. Studies show that spending time in nature can have a profound therapeutic effect on brain injury recovery.

Our goal is to to make this experience accessible to those who need it the most.

Our Latest Success Story

Our goal is to enhance the lives of clients in whose lives we can make a difference by providing supervised time spent in a natural environment. One example is Josh, a client who has made strides in traditional therapy but who also benefits from real-life experiences. At one time, it was believed that injured persons like Josh would reach the limit of their benefit at about a year after injury, however it has now been proven that milestones can be reached far after that first year through progressive activities.

Josh is a gentle spirit who loves to be outdoors, swimming, boating and hanging out at the lake. He sustained a brain injury during a 2021 accident that interrupted his lifestyle. Josh’s therapy began when he was bedridden on a respirator, and it has taken years of long-term therapy to attain the ability to walk with some assistance. He has achieved his mobility goal of walking and rejoining his community. He enjoys going to the Nature Center where he can visit the greenhouse and work with plants or help with the community garden and help collect eggs from the chickens. Glamping with a Cause seeks to provide experiences to enhance the lives of similarly affected individuals who are recovering from neurological injuries, so that they can continue to reach milestones in their lives. We are not for everyone but are seeking to provide beneficial outdoor experiences for such individuals.
